Collector Agreement

Overview

This agreement applies to all limited edition fine art photographic prints created and offered by Igor Menaker on this website.

By acquiring a work, the collector agrees to the principles outlined below.

This document governs edition integrity, authenticity, ownership, and long-term stewardship.

1. The Work

All works are original fine art photographic prints created by Igor Menaker.

Each image is released in clearly defined limited editions. Edition size, format, and specifications are stated on the Certificate of Authenticity accompanying each individual print.

Once an edition is sold out, it is permanently closed.

2. Edition Integrity

The studio maintains strict control over edition structure.

For each size and format:

  • The total number of prints is fixed and declared in advance.
  • No additional prints will be produced beyond that number.
  • Artist proofs, if any, are limited and documented.

Different sizes of the same image constitute separate, independent editions.

Accurate internal records are maintained for every edition.

3. Authenticity

Each print is:

  • Produced by the artist or, in some cases, under the direct supervision of the artist
  • Individually inspected
  • Signed and numbered
  • Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity

The Certificate confirms the edition number and production details.

4. Ownership and Copyright

The acquisition of a print transfers physical ownership of that object only.

All copyrights and reproduction rights remain exclusively with the artist.

No image may be copied, reproduced, published, or used commercially without prior written permission.

5. Production Standards

Works are produced using archival materials selected for durability and permanence.

Minor variations inherent to handcrafted production do not constitute defects.

Each piece is made deliberately, without mass production.

6. Stewardship

Collectors share responsibility for preservation.

Works should be displayed and stored in stable indoor conditions, protected from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive humidity, or extreme temperature shifts.

Permanence is intentional. Care ensures longevity.

7. Finality

Limited edition works are produced to order. All sales are final, subject only to the studio’s damage policy.

Closing Principle

Each work is an act of attention. Each edition is finite.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is replicated beyond its declared form.

Collection is not accumulation. It is commitment.
