Symphony in Sandstone. III
Symphony in Sandstone. III
Lower Antelope Canyon, Northern Arizona
Frame it and buy it

Lower Antelope slot canyon, narrow deep canyon, is hidden out of sight on a border between Utah and Arizona. In Navajo it is called Hasdeztwazi - "spiral rock arches". The canyon is being formed by erosion of red Navajo Sandstone by shear force of flash floods during monsoon season. The waves of floods form fantastic waves in sandstone. This is the place where you can see the true color of the daylight. It is blue. And since it comes from narrow crack above it is just an accent light. The main light is red - the light reflected many times between walls of red sandstone. I have been to this canyon seven or eight times. And I keep coming back. Just to stand in aura of red light and listen to the Symphony in Sandstone. There is no other place like that.
